⚠️ Tariff Pricing & Shipping Updates

We want to take a moment to be real with you about some of the price changes you may be seeing across WREKD®. The FPV landscape is shifting fast, and as a small, independent shop, we believe you deserve full transparency about why.

Latest Concerns of Some Customers

We’ve heard concerns that we raised prices "ahead" of the tariffs. Here's the reality:

  • Tariffs were already hitting our shipments over a month ago — we were charged 48% duties on many items.

  • Margins in FPV average 15–28%. Taking a 48% cost hit without raising prices isn't just hard — it's impossible.

  • We took the loss for as long as we could. It wasn't sustainable. We hoped things would reverse quickly. They didn’t.

We’re not here to throw a pity party, but to share our perspective:

  • FPV retail is not a high-profit business. Margins are thin. Volume is low. Losses hit hard.

  • Retailers also sell on platforms like Amazon and eBay too — but they take massive cuts (Amazon ~27%, eBay ~10%).

  • Supporting small FPV stores directly on their websites helps more than you realize. That includes WREKD® and every other U.S.-based shop trying to stay alive right now.

We've also been called out for being "disgraceful" for raising prices. That’s your right. But we disagree. We’re not villains. We're just pilots like you, doing our best to serve a niche industry in extremely challenging times.

📦 Why Prices Are Increasing

Over the last month and a half, the U.S. has rolled out new tariffs on Chinese-made goods, targeting a wide range of product categories — many of which directly affect the FPV world. These tariffs have significantly increased costs on nearly every shipment we receive from China.

We’ve been absorbing those increases up until now. But with duties on many categories rising sharply — and with signs that further increases may be coming — we’ve had to start adjusting our pricing to protect our long-term ability to serve you.

Although there’s a 90-day pause on some reciprocal tariffs, this pause does not apply to goods from China, which are still subject to elevated tariffs. For a store like ours — where the majority of our imported goods come from China — that means the pressure is very real.

📊 What’s Affected

While not every product is increasing in price, here are the categories seeing the biggest shifts:

  • Flight controllers & AIO boards: High import duties due to advanced electronics classification
  • Video transmitters & cameras (HD & analog): Rising raw material and component costs, compounded by tariffs
  • Frames & hardware kits: Increased taxes on carbon fiber, aluminum, and tooling from China
  • Tools, cables, and accessories: Tight margins, heavy tariff impact on metal and rubber components

We also sell products from trusted Fulfillment Partners — items managed and shipped by brands we work with. When they raise their prices due to global cost pressures, we must follow suit. We do not inflate those prices further, but we also can’t extend discounts beyond what’s allowed.

🚚 Shipping Policy Update

As of April 2025, most major U.S. FPV retailers — WREKD® included — have updated the free shipping threshold from $99 to $199. This decision was made in response to increasing carrier rates and fulfillment costs.

This new threshold allows us to continue offering timely, reliable shipping without raising prices across the board. When things stabilize, we’ll reassess and adjust accordingly.

We’ve already heard from some of you — people who are disappointed, confused, even angry. And we get it. This isn’t the shopping experience we want for anyone, but we also know that if we don’t adapt, we won’t make it through.
