Le Mans Miniature Lorraine-Dietrich #6 Le Mans 1926 Winner

Limited Edition in Collector's Box

1/32 Scale Slot Car

Team: Societe Lorraine De Dietrich et Cie
Drivers: Andre Rossignol - Robert Bloch
Event: 1926 24 Hours of Le Mans
Position: Winner

After the victory of 1925, Lorraine therefore puts its title on the line with three cars entered. The men of the Argenteuil factory decided to make a summary of the modifications from the previous year to further improve the performance of the B3-6: the radiator, the grille, the tires, everything is scrutinized in the smallest details. The preparation of drivers and training for refueling and pit stops required a lot of work. .

It is Robert Bloch who takes the start on number 6. After 6 hours of racing, Lorraine n°6 driven by Rossignol has a lap advantage over Peugeot n°3 in the hands of Gérard Dauvergne. The round of refuelling at Lorraine is going smoothly thanks to the preparation imposed by Mr. Wallach before the race. No major incident prevents the team from progressing and winning.

The winning car is then displayed in its original condition for a fortnight in the garage of Saint Didier in Paris (8th arrondissement) A few months later, Lorraine –Dietrich abandons car racing due to lack of support from the public authorities.
